TIERED PRICING

WHAT IS TIERED PRICING?

We believe every child should have the chance to experience camp—finances should never be a barrier. YMCA Camp Roger offers three pricing tiers to make camp accessible for all families. Please choose the highest tier your family can comfortably afford; this helps us support more campers. Your camper’s experience is the same no matter the tier, and pricing selections are confidential.

TIER A - $835.00

Reflects the true cost of camp, including program quality, staffing, meals, and maintenance. Choosing Tier A helps sustain Camp Roger for future campers.

TIER B - $785.00

A partially subsidized rate that covers most of the cost of camp.

TIER C - $735.00

A subsidized rate supported by community donations and YMCA fundraising efforts.

LEADERSHIP CAMPS

Camp Roger’s Leadership Programs offer older campers the chance to grow through experience—learning by doing, connecting, and leading within our camp community. Each program stands on its own; there are no prerequisites or required steps between them, allowing teens to join when the time feels right for them. Every leadership participant is supported by designated leadership specialists who ensure safety, structure, and meaningful mentorship. While the magic of camp fun remains the experience naturally evolves as campers grow. Activities, goals, and responsibilities are intentionally matched to each age group while still enjoying the freedom and joy that make Camp Roger unforgettable.

Enrollment is limited to approximately 20 campers per session and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

RISING STARS

Age 15 (Rising 10th Grade)
Session 9 (August 2 - 7)
$830

Rising Stars is the next step for campers who love Camp Roger and are ready to explore what it means to lead and contribute to a community—without their parents by their side. Each day combines adventure and classic camp fun with intentional team-building and reflection designed to help teens understand their own leadership style, communication skills, and personal strengths. Rising Stars campers are still fully supported and supervised by dedicated counselors trained specifically for this age group. They’ll complete a meaningful on-camp service project, practice independence in a safe environment, and experience the confidence that comes from belonging to something bigger than themselves.

LEADERS IN TRAINING (LIT)

Ages 16 (Rising 11th Grade)
2-Week Session Beginning Session 6 (July 12 - 24)
$1,105

For teens who have grown through camp and are ready for the next challenge, the Leaders in Training (LIT) program bridges the gap between camper and counselor. This two-week, fully supervised leadership experience helps teens grow independence, confidence, and real-world skills while staying grounded in the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Each day blends adventure with purpose. LITs work alongside our staff in program areas like archery, arts and crafts, horseback riding, and mountain biking to develop 1:1 skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving in action. During the second week, campers take part in a three-day, two-night off-site trip in the Uinta's building resilience and deep bonds with fellow leaders that often last for years.  There are no additional costs or supplies required for this trip; all equipment, planning, and supervision are provided by YMCA Camp Roger.

Before camp begins, each participant completes a short, supportive reflection essay (about 250 words). It’s not graded or used for acceptance—just a guided way to build confidence in expressing themselves, preparing for future college or job applications. In February, Camp Director Jake Green will reach out to the primary registration email with the essay prompt and simple instructions. LITs are supported every step of the way by trained counselors and leadership mentors. They’ll return home with greater self-awareness, teamwork skills, and the confidence to lead.

COUNSELOR IN TRAINING (CIT)

Ages 17 (Rising 12th Grade)
3-Week Session Beginning Session 2 (June 14 - July 3)
$1,350

The Counselor in Training (CIT) experience is Camp Roger’s capstone leadership program. Over three intentional weeks, campers step into real responsibility, learning what it means to lead with confidence and empathy while being surrounded by unmatched beauty in the outdoors. Guided by dedicated counselors and leadership specialists, CITs take on meaningful roles throughout camp, practicing leadership in action. Every day offers opportunities to build communication skills, problem-solve, and grow in independence. Along the way, they gain real experience to highlight on college and job applications and open doors to future opportunities at Camp Roger and beyond. In their second week, CITs take part in a four-day, three-night off-site trip in the Uinta's, designed to deepen independence, teamwork, and reflection. There are no additional costs or supplies required for this trip; all equipment, planning, and supervision are provided by YMCA Camp Roger.

Before camp, each CIT will have a brief, virtual "interview" with Camp Director Jake Green. This is not an interview in the traditional sense—it’s a safe, encouraging space for teens to practice speaking about their goals and strengths, guided by an experienced mentor who has conducted skill evaluation for hundreds of camp counselors during his decade of experience with the YMCA.

This program isn’t about perfection or pressure—it’s about becoming. CITs are supported, challenged, and encouraged in equal measure. They’ll come home taller in spirit, more grounded in who they are, and better prepared for what comes next—whether that’s college, a job, or simply the next adventure life brings.

It is our honor and responsibility to acknowledge to all who meet with us at the YMCA of Northern Utah Overnight Camps that we gather on the traditional and ancestral lands of the Utes and Shoshone peoples. These Indigenous nations have stewarded this land and all its inhabitants—two- and four-legged, winged and water-bound—in time immemorial.

We also recognize the broader Indigenous communities of Utah, including the Goshutes, Paiutes, Navajo, and Hopi peoples and their ancestors, whose histories and contributions continue to shape this region.

We honor their memory, their presence in our state today, and their ancestors' enduring spirit. We do so with reverence for their resilience in preserving sacred connections to the land and one another.

We Honor the People, We Honor the Land.

Acknowledgment of Source and Collaboration

This land acknowledgment was respectfully adapted by the YMCA of Northern Utah from a statement created at Utah Valley University, developed with guidance from Ken Sekaquaptewa and Kumen Louis. We have tailored this version to reflect our programs, people, and the mission of our YMCA community.
