EXPECTATIONS

The relationship between campers and mentors is the heart of the YMCA camp experience. All YMCA camp staff are carefully selected for their maturity, patience, commitment to working with youth and their desire to be a positive role model. Many counselors and program specialists find their camp experience to be a great fit for their college work in education, recreation, natural sciences, and social work programs. Caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility are the values that each staff member are expected to display and also expect from each camper.  We apply these values both to how we relate as a community and to our environment.
