Heritage Elementary Afterschool Program

373 S 150 W
Ogden, UT 84404

The purpose of the YMCA Afterschool Program is to help youth develop to their fullest in spirit, mind, and body by incorporating the core values of caring, respect, honesty and responsibility. We focus on behavioral expectations, strong curriculum, and opportunities for youth participation and development. We base our program on 9 learning components: Health & Wellness, Academic Support, 21st Century Skills, College & Career, Leadership Development, Service Learning, Arts Education, Global Learning, and Family & Parent Engagement. These components provide specific-focused categories for daily activities, projects and clubs in order to promote deliberate recognition and learning in our students. Our After School Program serves everyone in the community.

Within our Heritage Elementary Afterschool Program we run a YMCA of the USA Signature Program designed to increase Social-Emotional Skills with the above components along with a focus towards Academic Improvement with an individualized tutoring program attended by all youth enrolled.
