Teens will explore music production with the incredible team from Spy Hop Productions. Participants will create original beats, experiment with professional music software, collaborate with peers, and learn the basics of digital music production. No prior music experience is needed, just creativity and curiosity!
Teens Will:
Create original music tracks
Learn beginner music production skills
Work collaboratively with other teens
Explore professional beat-making software
Partnering with local trail organizations, teens will spend time outdoors giving back to the community while exploring the beauty of Northern Utah. Participants will alternate between trail stewardship projects and guided hikes throughout the Ogden area. This program is perfect for teens who enjoy nature, staying active, and making a positive impact in the community.

Outdoor exploration and teamwork
Teens will learn practical kitchen skills while creating fun, beginner-friendly meals and snacks. Campers will work both independently and in teams while building confidence in the kitchen. This is a great opportunity for teens to gain independence and life skills they can use long after summer ends. No cooking experience is necessary.

In partnership with Utah Music Academy, teens will learn beginner piano skills in a welcoming and encouraging environment (even if they’ve never played before).
Participants will receive:
Beginner piano instruction
1:1 support from instructors
Practice and group activity time
Music theory basics
A music book, pencils, music bag, and treats
The program concludes with a mini recital for parents during the final class.

Finger placement and technique

The YMCA and Ogden Art Collective are teaming up to help teens explore creativity through hands-on art experiences. Participants will experiment with different artistic styles, collaborate with peers, and create pieces they can feel proud of. No prior art experience is needed.
Teens Will:
Explore multiple art techniques and styles
Create original artwork
Learn creative collaboration
Build artistic confidence
At the end of the program, participants will also have the opportunity to showcase and sell their artwork at the Maker Market in Ogden.

Entrepreneurial creativity
