Camp Overview

Calling all Planeteers for a week of discovery and magic at YMCA Heber Day Camp! Gain Planet Vision during five days of learning and connection as you interact with the world around you. Our facilities Camp Roger and Mill Hollow will open up the wonders of nature as you hike trails, explore the ecosystem Beaver Pond, study the aspens of the forest, and learn about our role in nature. Recycle Utah will join us as we prepare for a service project at Camp Roger to give back to the protected land we’ve been exploring. Campers will leaver stronger kids and stronger citizens after having a blast with the great outdoors. The power is YOURS with the Y this summer! 

Field Trips

Registration fees INCLUDE ALL FIELD TRIP COSTS. Transportation to all field trips is provided. Our field trip schedule may be subject to change up to one week before the session.

Monday: Get hands on with the aspens and pond of YMCA Camp Roger as you try out nature games, survival skills, and begin planning a service project to do at Camp Roger.
Tuesday: Immerse yourself in parts of the world unlike your own at The Museum of Natural Curiosity at Thanksgiving Point.
Wednesday: Adventure await at YMCA Mill Hollow as you hike trails of the national forest, spend time in our craft shack with recycled materials, and try science projects based on how Mother Nature works.
Theme Thursday: After a week of planning what they want to do, campers will get to give back to the planet at YMCA Camp Roger with a service project of their own creating before spending the day rotating through camp activities such as archery and outdoor cooking.
Friday: Spend a morning exploring Wasatch Mountain State Park before heading to the Wasatch Aquatic Center to end the week swimming.

Camp Details

Traditional Camp Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm

Drop off: 8:00am
Pick Up: 4:30pm 

Campers should bring their own sack lunch each day along with sunblock. A free breakfast and afternoon snack are offered for all camp participants. Tennis shoes should be worn every day. Sandals, towel, and swim suit should be packed each Friday.
