The YMCA's Summer Day Camp is a fun and unique experience that gives children and teens the opportunity to discover their full potential, play, meet new friends and create memories that last a lifetime. Y Camp is all about learning outside of school, exploring and appreciating the outdoors, developing new skills, making friends and showing leadership. Youth have a chance to develop confidence and independence by taking on new responsibilities and challenges.

The Y is proud to offer two summer day camp opportunities for youth aged 5-12 in Salt Lake County:


The new specialty day camp at Daybreak will offer six weeks of fun for elementary aged youth age 5-12. Each week will feature a deep dive into an exciting new theme that keep kids engaged in learning, playing and having fun. 2018 Daybreak Camp themes include: STEM, Creativity Camp, Outdoor Adventure, Culinary Arts & Science and Drama Camp. The camp will operate three weeks in June (June 11th - 29th) and three weeks in July (July 9th - August 3rd with the exception of July 4th and 24th weeks). Camp will run M-F, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm. Our flagship camp located at the YMCA Community Family Center in Taylorsville hosts ten full weeks of summer funs, with new themes, weekly field trips and swimming. The camp is open to elementary aged youth ages 5-12 and offers programming from June 4th - Aug 10th, M-F 8:30 am - 4:30 pm with optional Sunrise and Sunset extensions for those needing early drop off or late pick up.

For the younger kids, our Community Family Center in Taylorsville will be offering Early Childhood Education Programming during the summer or our littlest friends aged 3-5 as well! Click here to learn more.
