"The Safe Kids Weber-Morgan Coalition is an inspiration to our entire network as we work to reach more families, prevent more injuries and save more lives.

Preventable injuries are the number one cause of death for children in the United States. Throughout the world, almost one million children die of an injury each year, and almost every one of these tragedies is preventable.

This is an exciting honor for our whole community, said Jann Fawcett, Safe-Kids Weber-Morgan Coalition Coordinator. We have been doing Safe Kids Day for 17 years, and have wonderful coalition members and partners. For the past two years, we have developed a great partnership with the YMCA of Northern Utah and it has been great to combine our Safe Kids Day and with the YMCA's Healthy Kids Day. We are all so grateful for all the wonderful sponsors, exhibitors, and our communities that support the event to help make it possible to have Safe Kids Day & Healthy Kids Day in our community each year.
