Camp Mill Hollow

YMCA Mill Hollow Program Information

Mill Hollow is for youth who are passionate about science and the outdoors. During their stay at camp, youth are introduced to topics such as water and forest ecology, astronomy, mountain ecosystems, and more. Campers can expect to take hikes, play in the river, try archery, explore the solar system through telescopes, and develop a sense of place through playing in the mountains.

Mixed in with all the science and fun of the Mill Hollow experience is an emphasis on team building, leadership development, and a love of nature. It is our goal to bring out the very best in our campers so they can be forces for positive change in their schools, communities, and beyond.

Don't worry, we still have lots of spaces left for Mill Hollow! The system will start showing how many spots are left when we get closer to filling up.

Leadership Camps (Ages 14 - 17)

Our specially-designed leadership programs are multiple week programs dedicated to transitioning teens into our future leaders. During their time in leadership, campers will be learning what it means to be a leader, and the necessary skills and responsibilities involved.

Rising Stars ($825 for 2 session program, 14-year-olds)

Our Rising Stars program's intention is to bridge the experience of Traditional Camp with a taste of the responsibility that is to come in Leader in Training. This program is for those older campers who want to get a little more out of the Camp Roger experience. 14-year-old campers will be able to experience their favorite camp activities in the afternoon with an increased emphasis on team building and adventure in the mornings. The perfect introduction to our leadership camps, Rising Star campers will develop their skills of working as a team on and off of camp and leading as they engage with all campers leading songs, helping around camp, and rising to be more than just a camper.

Leaders In Training ($670 for 2 session program, ages 15-16)

This two-week specialized staff-training program for 15 or 16-year-old campers which, along with CIT program, trains campers in necessary skills and responsibilities to be staff in years to come. LIT’s participate in leadership development focusing on team building, cooperation, and supervision. They will work side-by-side with staff members to gain skills in managing group behavior, leading activities, and supporting the staff.
